Saturday July 4th, Day Four

Day 4 was so fun!! We started the day with a meeting and then headed out in 2 groups to do some old fashioned "Car Washing!" It was pretty hot that day, so having some water to cool off was a welcome addition to the morning! ALOT of cars got washed and we got to interact some with really neat people!
We then had some lunch and had the afternoon free for some downtime! Some of us headed out to the Red, White and Boom event early for some early set up work, some of us just rested! some of got together and played "The Name Game" and I am sure many other down time things were done!
We then got ready for the big event and headed out! When we got to the church it was raining and raining hard! We started praying! We waited it out as we heard reports that our local band Seven might not get to play because equipment was damaged. The canopy over the sound board collapsed! Everythng was wet, instruments, people, stuff...one big wet mess! But what is a little water to our great God? Everything fell into place: the water subsided, equipment dried out, prayers were answered, and the night went on!
There were so many people it was crazy!! people everywhere! I spent some time back at our Sovereign Grace Church Booth and there was not a time when I didn't see alot of people around it! Free watermelon and drinks were handed out, prizes were given away, people were invited to church, a whole lot of serving was going on!
The bands "Seven" and "Tall Tree" were amazing! Many times I thought as they were singing that songs about our God were being procalimed out loud in front of thousands of people!!! How cool is that????!!!! I was overwhelmed by it all! At times, it almost seemed surreal as I stood and just looked around at all that was going on around me I just couldn't believe it! It was an amazing time! The fireworks were incredible and the night could not have ended any better!
